Outstanding shock absorption and excellent sport properties was the flooring requirement for the refurbishment of sports hall at Beechwood Sacred Heart School. Oxden Floors installed Grabo Mega 10mm sports flooring to gym hall due to its 38% shock absorption aiding children’s joint and cartilage protection.

The refurbishment included associated changing facilities and toilets. These areas were laid with Polyflor Polysafe Quattro, specifically designed to provide a high degree of slip resistance, whether barefoot or wearing shoes, and where additional contaminants such as shower gel and shampoo may be present. Being a refurbishment project, we had to ensure the correct falls were laid to the shower drain outlets. Extra time, attention and indeed, latex screed was applied to achieve this.
